How to prepare

  • Short answers are fine. Trinity says a few words, a very short response or a full sentence are all acceptable at Grade 2.
  • Learn "have got" and "there is". "I've got two brothers" and "There is a table" answer a large share of the questions.
  • Practise where things are. In, on, under, between and next to. Look around your room and say where five things are.
  • Prepare one question for the examiner. You must ask at least one. "Have you got any children?" or "Where do you live?" is enough.
  • Ask the examiner to repeat. "Can you repeat that, please?" is allowed, but Trinity warns against using it too often.
