IELTS level check
Not ready for a full test? Answer 10 questions in about 5 minutes and get a rough idea of your Reading and Listening band, with an explanation for every answer.
- 10 questions: 5 Reading, then 5 Listening.
- About 5 minutes. The timer is a guide and does not stop you.
- You need sound for the Listening part.
- No account needed. Nothing is saved.
Questions
- How accurate is a 5-minute IELTS level check?
- It gives a rough range, not a score. Ten questions cannot measure a band the way a full test with 40 questions in each skill can. Use it to decide where to start, then take a full test.
- What does it test?
- Reading and Listening: five questions on a short text and five on three short recordings. It does not test Writing or Speaking.
- Is it free?
- Yes. There is no account, no email and no payment, and nothing is saved.
- Is it for Academic or General Training?
- Both. Listening is the same in the two versions of IELTS, and the reading text is general enough for either.
- Why are there True, False and Not Given questions?
- They are one of the most common IELTS Reading question types, and the difference between False and Not Given is where many candidates lose marks.
