Frequently asked questions
Is this IELTS mock test free?
Yes. Full-length IELTS Listening and Reading mock tests are free, with an instant band score and an explanation for every answer. Sign up free to save your results.
Is the test like the real computer-delivered IELTS?
The layout follows the computer-delivered exam: passage on one side, questions on the other, a countdown timer, highlighting and a question navigator. Timing and question types match the real test.
How is my band score calculated?
Your correct answers out of 40 are converted to a band using widely published IELTS conversion ranges. The real exam's conversion varies slightly between versions, so your band is a close estimate.
Can you check my IELTS essay?
Yes. The writing checker gives an estimated band for all four IELTS writing criteria with corrections from your own sentences. Your first check is free; after that packs start at $15.
Can I practise IELTS Speaking online?
Yes. Our AI examiner talks to you through a full Speaking test: Part 1 questions, a Part 2 cue card and a Part 3 discussion with follow-up questions. You speak out loud and get an estimated band with corrections. Your first marked test is free.
Is this site official IELTS?
No. We are an independent practice service, not connected to the British Council, IDP or Cambridge. All our tests are original.
